Dakota)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The performance includes popular songs from the 1960s to today, all featuring \u201cYou,\u201d \u201cMe,\u201d or \u201cWe\u201d in the title. In addition to the music, the show incorporates theatrical elements, creating a unique experience for the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s show is directed and choreographed by Zachary Murray, a Los Angeles-based dancer and choreographer who works with Disney and other entertainment venues. Murray\u2019s expertise brings professional guidance to the production, which includes solos, group performances, and choreography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Murray said his job is to inspire students to believe in themselves, \u201cSometimes you have to convince them to believe in themselves, they are excited to learn, very eager.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Omaha, Nebraska native, who now lives in Los Angeles will spend several weeks in La Grande teaching students. Murray said the performance will be a fun, exciting, and visually appealing show, he expects audiences to cheer and even tear up for some of the performances.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eou.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/fb-2025.01.22-Dance-musical-show-20250123_87-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-37422\" width=\"323\" height=\"323\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">EOU Chamber Choir members rehearse choreography for \u201cYou, Me &amp; We,\u201d the university\u2019s annual song and dance show. Dakota)<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>Working closely with students, Murray has crafted a show with uplifting and heartfelt performances like <em>High School Musical\u2019s<\/em> &#8220;We\u2019re All in This Together&#8221; and \u201cThis is Me\u201d from <em>The Greatest Showman<\/em>.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cZachary has introduced new techniques and ideas, allowing the students to grow as performers,\u201d said Peter Wordelman, professor of music at EOU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Student Jillian Newman who is the student dance captain said the choreography is nothing like she\u2019s done before. \u201cI have enjoyed every second of rehearsal and prepping for this show,\u201d Newman said. \u201cThe cast is great along with the experience of making something we can all look back and be proud of, together. I\u2019m excited to perform this show and share it with an audience because it\u2019s all about music that brings us together. This show is something I\u2019m very proud of and putting a lot of time and effort into it, I\u2019m ready to share it with everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike a traditional choir concert, this production involves solo performances from all participating students and dance routines choreographed specifically for the show.
