Travis\" class=\"wp-image-991\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.historians.org\/news\/1340\/new-report-finds-us-history-majors-highest-earners-in-humanities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recent report<\/a> by Georgetown University&#8217;s Center on Education and the Workforce finds that U.S. History majors are the highest earners in the humanities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">History faculty member releases new book:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Phillip Travis, an adjunct instructor of history at EOU, has published a new book entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/rowman.com\/ISBN\/9781498537179\/Reagan's-War-on-Terrorism-in-Nicaragua-The-Outlaw-State#\"><em>Reagan&#8217;s War on Terrorism in Nicaragua: The Outlaw State<\/em> (Lanham: Lexington Books, 2016)<\/a>.&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #222222;\">This study examines the Reagan administration\u2019s proxy war against Nicaragua and its use of the emergent threat of international terrorism as a pretext.
