Chemistry and Biochemistry at EOU<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The EOU Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is dedicated to providing high-quality undergraduate education in a supportive learning environment. Our programs are designed with the student in mind, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention and guidance throughout their academic journey. By maintaining small class sizes and fostering one-on-one interaction with faculty, we create an atmosphere where students can engage deeply with the material, ask questions freely, and build strong relationships with their professors and peers. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry-Biochemistry, with pathways in both Chemistry and Biochemistry to suit students’ specific interests and career goals. Additionally, we offer minors in Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry, allowing students to complement their major studies or explore interdisciplinary fields. These diverse program options equip students with a solid foundation in chemical and biochemical principles, preparing them for a wide range of careers in science, research, and industry, as well as for further academic pursuits in graduate or professional schools.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Departments are housed in Badgley Hall, the newest addition to the EOU campus. This state-of-the-art science center provides classrooms and laboratories for biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, physics, and psychology programs. Badgley Hall maintains a full-time support-staff consisting of an office specialist, instrument technician, and stockroom manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
