Students will strengthen skills in craftsmanship, project management, and teamwork while receiving training in safe handling of materials, tools, and equipment.<\/td><\/tr>
Summary of Job Duties\/Responsibilities\/Essential Functions:<\/a><\/strong><\/td>– Prepare clay, plaster, and mold-making materials for studio use.
– Assist in constructing molds and ceramic components for larger projects.
– Follow technical instructions to ensure quality and consistency in production.
– Help with drying, firing, and finishing processes.
– Troubleshoot mold or ceramic challenges with supervisor guidance.
– Support quality control of final ceramic pieces.
– Clean and maintain tools, molds, and studio spaces.
– Safely store and organize materials for ongoing projects.
– Assist in preparing the studio for larger production runs.<\/td><\/tr>
Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/td>– Must be an on-campus student who has federal financial aid-approved work-study awarded.
– Ability to follow detailed instructions.
– Physical ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy materials.
– Dependability and willingness to learn.<\/td><\/tr>
Preferred Qualifications<\/strong>:<\/td>– Prior ceramics or mold-making experience.
– Interest in ceramics, sculpture, or industrial design.<\/td><\/tr>
